Bossert Capital, LLC is managed by Alex Bossert. The reported performance data represents the return of a representative portfolio invested in accordance with Bossert Capital’s fully discretionary accounts under management opened and funded prior to June 30th, 2024. Only accounts that have been opened and funded for at least six months prior to the performance period are included. For example, performance results for the six-month period ending December 31, 2023, include accounts opened and funded prior to June 30, 2023. This methodology ensures that reported performance reflects a consistent and seasoned portfolio composition. The performance data reflects the impact that material economic and market factors had on the manager’s decision-making process and was calculated on a total return basis, including reinvestments of dividends and interest, accrued income, and realized and unrealized gains or losses. The returns also reflect a deduction of advisory fees (both management and performance fees), commissions charged on transactions, and fees for related services. Performance fees are deducted from client accounts in early January of the following year. As a result, reported performance figures for any given year—such as year-to-date, mid-year, or year-end returns—reflect the deduction of performance fees earned in the prior year but do not yet reflect performance fees earned for the current year, as those will be deducted after year-end. Consequently, performance fees for a given year are reflected in the performance results of the subsequent year, aligning with the timing of their deduction.

 

Direct comparisons between the portfolio performance and equity market indices (e.g. S&P 500) are not without complications. The portfolio may contain instruments not included in market indices and may not be as diversified as market indices. The indices may be unmanaged, may be market weighted, and unlike the portfolio, indices do not incur fees and expenses. Due to the differences between the portfolio and the performance of equity market indices, no such index is directly comparable to the investment strategy of the portfolio.

 

Bossert Capital’s advisory fees are fully detailed in Part 2A of its Form ADV. Management fees are deducted quarterly, so the compounding effect will increase the impact of such fees by an amount related to the account’s performance. Performance fees are calculated and deducted on an annual basis.
